International Project “Accelerating the revival of social and humanitarian researches in CA |
On December, 2007 International Project of the "Accelerating the revival of social and humanitarian researches in Central Asia" 6th frame program was completed (acronym PHOENIX). This project was initiated by the following partners: "Arhimedes" Foundation (Estonia), Helsinki University (Finland), Kyrgyz Center of science and technological development (Kyrgyzstan). The project was realized with participation of the representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the project was to learn educational and scientific situation in social-humanitarian sphere of Central Asian countries, arrangement of conditions for setting wide partnership relationships between Central Asian and European countries, formation of professional scientific-educational networks and access to similar networks of the Euro Union countries.

CASE STUDY
as an instrument to build partnership between business and education and introduce real cases-based teaching methodology in the educational process
Association of Educational Establishments "Education Network" (EdNet) worked on "Case Study" project in Kyrgyzstan from April to September 2007. "EdNet" Association has implemented this initiative conjointly with OSCE Center in Bishkek and seven leading business companies as Shoro, Saima Telecom, Celectial Mountains, Ineximbank, InterAlliance, Kyrgyz Concept, Kumtor Operating Company.

On October 29-30, 2007 REGENA held "Internal quality assessment systems in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs" seminar in the frames of "Assistance in reforming of higher education" project by "Soros-Kyrgyzstan" Foundation with support of the Ministry of education and science, which took place in Ak-Keme hotel (Bishkek city).
The project aims to assist in advancement of reformation in higher education through active collaboration of government organs, academic, experts and public communities.
