Workshop “Road to excellence: social and humanitarian research study evaluation” were conducted at the Issyk-Kul lake in Kyrgyzstan, 21-22 May. This workshop was devoted to researches and analysis of situation in the areas of social and humanitarian science. Doctors, professors, and other representatives of the academic society took part at this workshop.

In the framework of the workshop were opened the subjects of developing the social and humanitarian science in the Central Asia. Were marked out and considered functions of the organizations working over the problems of development and realization of the events for developing social science in different countries, and science and research activities in the institutions.

National strategies and programs in the area of science and education that would be able to raise education level and improve the quality of knowledges of the experts of different areas were presented during the workshop.

Additionally, financial issues were considered: financial sources, financial funds using and localizing. This workshop helped to feel keenly and determine core problems of education and the ways to solve these problems. Moreover, this workshop started further cooperation among the countries of the Central Asia to realize programs and strategies aimed to develop education.

Academy for Teaching Excellence in Higher Education Announces enrollment for «Taxes and Law»

Schedule: 15 days, 5 times per week, 4 hours

Course Outline:
Course aimed to learn essence and principles of taxation, general theoretic problems of taxes and taxation, and to gain practical skills of calculating general means of taxes. In terms of economic reforms in Kyrgyz Republic, the problem of training highly qualified specialists in taxation field has high priority.

Course is planned both for beginners, and for those practicing accountants, who wants to raise their qualification and to meet contemporary requirements of the profession.

ОПИСАНИЕ ПРОГРАММЫ:
Бишкекский Деловой Клуб совместно с Молодежной Программой ВООН-ПРООН и Международной Организацией Труда (ILO-IPEC-PROACT-CAR) инициируют пилотную программу по развитию бизнес потенциала сельской молодежи путем проведение тренинг модуля «Знакомство с бизнесом». Этот тренинг модуль даст сельской молодежи базовые навыки и знания достаточные для разработки и выполнение бизнес-планов в своих селах (общинах). Дополнительно, программы поддержит развитие волонтерства среди молодежи и борьбу с наихудшими формами детского труда.

В рамках программы, 10 студентов столичных ВУЗ’ов будут отобраны для обучения тренинг модулю «Знакомство с Бизнесом» и технике интерактивного преподавания сертифицированными тренерами ЗСБ. В последствии студенты проведут аналогичный курс для сельской молодежи в пилотных селах. Использование подхода обучения «молодежь-молодежь» позволить создать более комфортную и увлекательную среду для обучения. Дополнительно, данная программа является великолепной возможностью для студентов получить новые знания и тренерские навыки выработать, плюс это возможность выработать новые основные лидерские и улучшить свои коммуникативные навыки.

On 17th of May, 2007 on the basis of Education Network Association the Ecological Auditors’ Chamber in the grounds of “Stable development of the Ecological Auditors’ Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic and integration volunteer ecological certification” project conducted seminar on «Application of volunteer ecological certification for hotel and tourism enterprises». The project supported by Eurasian Foundation Central Asia and the Christensen Foundation.
Representatives of the state agency for preservation of the environment and forestry under the government of Kyrgyz Republic, state agency for tourism under the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, international organizations, hotel and tourism enterprises, public organizations, higher educational institutions took part at the seminar.
