 Round table on «Development of Career Centers in «EdNet» Association member-uiversities»
Date: 29th of June, 2006.
Place: Assembly hall of Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture.
«EdNet» Association conjointly with Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture carried out a round table «Development of Career Centers in «EdNet» Association member-universities ».
Aim: to invite Universities which already created Career Centers or in a way of establishing for discussion; and in the process of exchanging of views, opinions and experience, determine basic functions and objectives of Career Centers, elaborate specific suggestions on creation and development of such centers at Kyrgyz universities, as well as to discuss and coordinate further joint cooperation of interested institutions and Association's activities in this field.
Results of the Round table: development of Memorandum in which reflected concrete schemes of further activities on creation and development of Career Centers at Univerisities.
Memorandum main directions:
- Consider Career Centers as a connecting link between employers, students, graduates and administration, as well as information and resource basis for business and tool for realization of state policy on youth employment.
- Create Career Centers at Higher Education Institutions (HEI)for improvement of work with students and graduates on development of successful career, strengthening of partnership linkages of HEI with business companies, improvement of employment level of HEI graduates on their specialization, popularization of ideas of business social responsibility and its involvement in training of highly qualified specialists through introduction into specific programs.
- To form working group from representatives of HEI on establishment of Career Centers and assistance in more effective work.
- Accomplish exchange of informational, intellectual resources and gained experience in the sphere of creation and development of Career Centers with other institutions, public structures and organizations.
- Authorize «EdNet» Association as coordinatiing organization for ensuring permanent function of working group, intensive informational exchange between participating institutions; for joint activities with the Ministry of education, science and youth policy of the Kyrgyz Republic on creation and development of Career Centers; for active assistance in development of Career Centers in HEI through implementation of relevant project activities, events and trainings
