The Soros Foundation - Kyrgyzstan and The Open Society Institute are pleased to announce the 2008 Social Work Faculty Fellowship for Kyrgyzstan. Each award recipient spends one semester at a university in the United States and returns home to resume teaching. Renewals for up to two additional years are possible.
The Social Work Faculty Fellowship is a non-degree program aimed at facilitating the development of social work departments and associated teaching and research in Kyrgyzstan. The program provides the opportunity for outstanding junior faculty to expand their knowledge of social work and re-specialize in social work through spending time at a U.S. university's school of social work.
