Internal quality assessment systems in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs |

On October 29-30, 2007 REGENA held "Internal quality assessment systems in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs" seminar in the frames of "Assistance in reforming of higher education" project by "Soros-Kyrgyzstan" Foundation with support of the Ministry of education and science, which took place in Ak-Keme hotel (Bishkek city).
The project aims to assist in advancement of reformation in higher education through active collaboration of government organs, academic, experts and public communities.
This seminar is the next stage of activities, organized by “Education Network” Association with support of the Ministry of education and science, in the frames of “Soros-Kyrgyzstan” Foundation project on development of higher education quality guarantee system. In the frames of these activities there were: on July 2007 a seminar with participation of international expert, and on September 2007 teaching seminar on the new approaches to projection of education content.
The seminar’s objectives were open discussion of the main development tendencies of models, criteria, and procedures of internal quality guarantee system in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs through group works, discussion and admission of the arrangement of internal quality guarantee system in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs manual project.
Association of Educational Establishments “EdNet” implements systematic activities on assistance in reformations in higher education, education quality improvement, and involvement of business and other communities for closer collaboration with academic community.
As the result of this seminar heads of 27 Kyrgyz Republic HEIs got systematically became aware about methodology and features of internal quality guarantee system in Kyrgyz Republic HEIs, discussed effective and live features and procedures of internal quality guarantee system and suggested ways of application, considering conditions of Kyrgyz Republic.
The participants: heads of the Ministry of education and science of Kyrgyz Republic, experts of “Soros-Kyrgyzstan” Foundation.
